Michael Brodsky
Michael Brodsky brings more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur, manager, and investor in e-commerce, software, and online media businesses. Most recently, Mr. Brodsky served as Executive Chairman of, Inc. (NASDAQ:UBET). In June of 2010, Youbet completed its sale to Churchill Downs Incorporated, and Mr. Brodsky was elected to the Board of Directors of Churchill Downs (NASDAQ: CHDN). Prior to serving as Youbet's Executive Chairman, Mr. Brodsky served as the company's President and CEO. During his tenure at Youbet, Mr. Brodsky restructured the company and repositioned it as the largest independent e-commerce business in legal online wagering in the United States. Prior to joining Youbet, Mr. Brodsky managed New World Opportunity Partners, the public investment arm of the Chicago-based Pritzker family, where he was the firm’s Managing Partner. Mr. Brodsky also served as CFO of The Away Network, an online travel media company which owned and managed the sites,,, and When The Away Network was acquired by and Cendant Corporation, Mr. Brodsky became a Vice President of Finance in Cendant’s Travel Services Division.

Mr. Brodsky holds a B.A. from Syracuse University, a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law, and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Patrick Stakenas
Patrick Stakenas was instrumental in pioneering Determine’s strategic approach to Source to Pay and Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management. His go-to-market strategy propelled the acquisition of IASTA and b-pack. Over the past year he has been instrumental in leading the go-to-market charge to meet the evolving needs of today’s global enterprises.

Patrick has over 25 years of industry and management experience with enterprise technology. Prior to joining Determine, he authored key industry research at Gartner including the Magic Quadrants for Sales Performance Management and Sales Force Automation. His forward-looking research and publications have helped enterprises and software vendors shape and model their go-to-market approaches and future technology offerings. Prior to Gartner, Patrick was founder and CEO of ForceLogix Technologies Inc. (TSXV: FLT), which was acquired by Callidus Software (NASDAQ: CALD). ForceLogix Technologies was at the forefront of SaaS applications built to support sales effectiveness and performance.

Patrick is active in charitable organizations and is a past member of the Advisory Board for the Depaul University Sales and Management Business School. He has an Executive Management Certificate from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business and a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from Ferris State University.
Alan B. Howe
Alan Howe has served as a director since January 12, 2009, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Since 2002, he has served as co-founder and managing partner of Broadband Initiatives, LLC, a boutique corporate advisory and consulting firm focused primarily on the wireless, telecom, and technology sectors. From May 2005 to October 2008, he also served as Vice President of Strategic Development for Covad Communications, Inc. From April 1995 to April 2001, Mr. Howe served as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer of Teletrac, Inc. From December 1991 to April 1995, Mr. Howe worked in several positions with Sprint Corporation, including Director of Corporate Development. Mr. Howe is a member of the board of directors of Ditech (Nasdaq: DITC), Altigen, Dyntek, Inc., Proxim Wireless, and several private boards.

Mr. Howe holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley Graduate School of Business.

Michael Gullard
Michael Gullard is the founding General Partner of Cornerstone Management, which provides hands-on strategic focus and direction for technology companies primarily in software and communications. Mr. Gullard has over 15 years of experience as Chairman and board member of public companies. He is currently Chairman of Dyntek, Inc. and is a director of JDA Software Group, Planar Technologies, and Proxim Wireless. Mr. Gullard is also President of the Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula. Prior to founding Cornerstone Management in 1984, Gullard was CEO of Telecommunications Technology Inc. from 1979 to 1984 and held a variety of operations and financial management positions at Intel Corporation from 1972 to 1979.

Mr. Gullard has an A.B. Degree in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Michael Casey
Michael Casey brings more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership with a proven track record of execution, having served as CFO in leading public software and services companies including MAPICS, iXL Enterprises, Manhattan Associates, and IQ Software. From 2001 until 2005, Mr. Casey was the CFO at MAPICS, a publicly traded, global enterprise resource planning software provider for the manufacturing industry, where he helped restructure operations resulting in improved financial results, the successful acquisition and restructuring of a competitor, and revenue and earnings growth that lead to its sale to Infor Global Solutions for more $350 million.

Prior to joining MAPICS, Mr. Casey served as CFO and Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration for iXL Enterprises, Inc., a publicly-traded, global Internet services consulting firm, where he directed all financial, human resource, IT, facilities, and administrative functions during its restructuring and its merger with Scient, Inc. Previously, Mr. Casey served as CFO of Manhattan Associates, Inc., a publicly-traded developer of supply chain execution systems, during a period of rapid growth and a successful initial public offering. His experience also includes serving as CFO for IQ Software Corporation, a publicly traded developer of business intelligence solutions, through substantial growth and a successful initial public offering. Mr. Casey began his career as a CPA at Arthur Andersen, where he specialized in serving the technology and communications industries.

Mr. Casey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia.

Lloyd Sems
Lloyd Sems has served as a director since June 2, 2008, and as Chairperson of the Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee of our Board (the “Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee”) since May 20, 2009. Since October 2003, he has served as President of Sems Capital, LLC and of Capital Edge, LLC, both of which he founded. Previously, Mr. Sems served as Director of Research and Portfolio Manager for Watchpoint Asset Management. Mr. Sems also serves on the Board of Directors of Sport-Haley, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: SPOR) which he joined in April of 2009.

Mr. Sems holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from Albright College.

Bill Angeloni
Bill Angeloni has over twenty-five years of extensive experience as an executive and management consultant driving operational excellence and performance improvement for Fortune 500 clients from diversified manufacturing, process industries and high tech. Mr. Angeloni was an executive at FreeMarkets, one of the companies that created this space, and has founded four companies, two operating in procurement technology and consulting. His consulting firm, Tenzing Consulting LLC, has been recognized twice on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list, a rare occurrence.

As the President and CEO of Exostar LLC, a joint venture between aerospace giants BAE Systems, Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, and Rolls-Royce, Mr. Angeloni was instrumental in turning the company around, tripling revenues, achieving widespread technology industry accolades and being elected to the Board of Governors for the Aerospace Industries Association.

Mr. Angeloni holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, and an MBA in Finance and International Business from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management. He is a private pilot and devoted skier.
Steve Sovik
Steve Sovik is the Chief Revenue Officer of Tipalti, a leading global B2B AP automation and compliance company in San Mateo, CA. Prior to Tipalti, Mr. Sovik spent 5 and a half years at Coupa as Senior Vice President of Sales. Under his sales leadership, Coupa achieved rapid revenue growth and recognition on both Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ and the Inc. 5000 America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies lists. Mr. Sovik’s many years of experience also includes executive positions at Oracle Corporation, SupportSoft Inc. and Siebel Systems, specializing in ERP, supply chain management, and CRM solutions.

He is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Sciences.
